In May, Y10 Physics students were given the opportunity to take part in the Junior Physics Challenge from the British Physics Olympiad.
听
The Junior Physics Challenge is an online competition designed to engage and challenge students of all abilities by offering them a range of problems to solve. Although most of the questions are based around the current GCSE curriculum, students were able to gain more marks if they had a general knowledge in physics as well as taking a keen interest in practical work in lessons. The key aim is that students enjoy taking part and are encouraged to do more physics.
听
Our students were competing against more than 12 000 Physics students from across the听country, and they certainly did us proud.
听
All students did well and managed to achieve at least a Bronze Award, with the following students pushing even further to achieve a Silver Award:听Layton, Alfie, Isaac, Charlie, Mustafa, Daniel, Fearne, Libby, Alyvia, Salah, Saif, and Evie.
听
The following students did incredibly well, putting themselves amongst the best in the country and achieving Gold Awards:听Kian, Samuel, Viktor, Yahya, and Reuben.
听
We are incredibly proud of all our students for taking part and challenging themselves to achieve their very best!
