Our recent production of听Peter Pan, performed by Y12 A Level Drama students and the KS3 Drama Club, was in support of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
JM Barrie, the author of听Peter Pan, was a supporter of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) during his lifetime.听In 1929, he was approached to sit on a committee to help the hospital buy land so it could build a much-needed new wing.听Barrie declined but said that he 鈥渉oped to find another way to help鈥. Two months later, the board learned that Barrie had donated the rights to Peter Pan to GOSH.听For almost a century, this extraordinary gift has supported the hospital鈥檚 vital work, helping to give seriously ill children lives that are fuller, funner and longer.
